Birthday Surprised From Japan

Yesterday morning, when the postman handed me a pick up notice from the Post Office, I started thinking,”What Could it be?” I don’t remember buying anything online that I haven’t got yet,or do I expect any package from Ken. So after lunch, I decided to go to PO to see what’s in the packet (as it says in the notice) and then what a surprised,it’s a goodies from Japan sent by no other than Mommy Clang of Kizuna;

It’s a fridge magnet and a gotochi card that I’m so dying to have,there’s also a cute birthday card that’s not in the picture. Thank you sis for the effort and for remembering me on my special day and for making it extra special. God Bless you!!!

More Puzzle For Kendrick

When Kendrick solved his 500 pieces jigsaw puzzles (Read: Kendrick’s 500 pcs Puzzle) few months ago, he re-shuffled and solve it again and again plenty of time until somehow, he got tired of it since he already memorized and can solved it easily.Now, he wanted me to buy another puzzle with more pieces into it and on his own words, “harder”. Now, I don’t know where to get that kind of puzzle since what they have here in Manila didn’t meet his expectation and I asked his dad to send us puzzle that he could enjoy and he thought this one will surely delight him;

It’s May 1st, And It’s Raining!

Yup,today is May 1st and it’s raining cats and dogs. My mom used to say something (as always!) about it but I don’t remember it anymore. I can’t believed it’s already May,it almost half of the year and last night,when husband and I were talking, he reminded me again not to enroll the boys anymore and save up the money instead for his upcoming trip here to fetch us.

We also talked about Mother’s day,which is of course,brought a bitter-sweet memory to him. It was 12 years ago, a few days before Mother’s day,when others were busy buying flowers for their mom, husband and his brothers was making a funeral arrangements instead. Just like my dad who passed away few days before Father’s day, his mom died a few days before Mother’s day back in 2000, and this year is actually my second time to celebrate it without my mom who passed away in 2010.

Ok,enough with all this nostalgic drama event,this is actually the reason why I don’t like it when it’s raining, it gives me time to reminisce the good and the not-so-good things about my life.What I wanted to do is to welcome this month with more positive energy and enthusiasm.

I’m so looking forward to a fun-filled month for me.

Literally!!! It feels like we are having a 90 degrees weather and it’s taking its toll in my head and the noisy music from the neighbor is not helping either.I have a test sieves to do and an article to finish after but I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish everything with this distraction around me.

My goal this weekend is to finish all my work and make it to the cut off but I don’t even know if it is possible. I’m hoping that I will have enough energy to do a pull nighgter and get it all done.

A Week That Was

The boys and I spent our holy week at home. Well, it’s not like we’re not use to it because that’s how we spent it back in US so it’s nothing really new to us,plus the fact that the holy week there is not an all-week celebration like here in the Philippines but the only day that is considered holiday is the Good Friday.

But different from last Sunday, we’ll be busy tomorrow and the next Sunday, the boys got invited for a birthday party so it means we need to go shopping for a present in which I still don’t know what to get. Thankfully, it’s only a children’s party,so it means no need to sweat out the gift buying.

Reading The News

I love reading the news everyday, it’s what I do every morning, but I don’t eat my breakfast while holding the newspapers, but instead, I open my laptop and read the Yahoo news,I guess,it’s already given that with this age of technology, there are only few people I know who still read a broadsheet because a lot of people feed their mind online.

But it’s not only the news that I like to read, I also love reading celebrity news, fashion reviews, I just read the review about harvey prince flirt perfume a while ago since I’m thinking of buying one, and recommendations too. And my latest source of a fun read is reading comments from the other readers. Yup!, it’s more fun than the news actually, lol!
